Announcement: Blog Adjustments

It has been some time since I've seen all you lovelies. It appears the schedule I had set myself up for a few months ago was one I could not keep up with, so I'm making a few adjustments.

1. I'm down scaling on topics. I decided to refocus this blog more towards art and materials. An art resource blog, if you well, with a side of crafting projects!

2. The tabs at the top of the blog will change to:
a. Art & Craft Projects - Posts will pertain to arts & crafts I am currently working on (bookbinding, illustration, knitting, home, and more).
b. Material Reviews - Posts will concentrate on what art tools/supplies I have found to be the most useful and successful in my projects, as well as comparing similar tools to one another. I hope you'll find this helpful for your projects!
c. Book Resource - A quick list of art/technique books, how-to guides, and artist books I have found useful in furthering my skills in arts & crafts  This list will be updated regularly.
d. Art Resource - Another list targeting where tools/materials I have found can be purchased. This list will be updated regularly.
e. Giveaways - Giveaways will include art materials, art books, and gift cards to art stores. Stay on the look out for those!
f. Lifestyle - I'm still debating over this tab. This tab would include posts outside the focus of the blog, offering glimpses in what activities and cool finds I feel worth sharing!

3. The About Me & Shop tabs will remain in the tab bar.

Even though the focus of this blog will change a bit, I'll still be telling stories through the art I produce! I've been wanting to share the tools I use, and I hope you'll find the information helpful. Blog posts will resume on Oct. 6th. Until then...cheers!

Announcement - Grubby Hands In Too Many Pots

Afternoon fellow sirs and ladies! My postings have been a bit off schedule (as I'm sure many of you have noticed). Fear not. I'll be regularly posting again starting this Wednesday. However, they're might be some slight changes:

1.  I've been attempting to condense the amount of projects I've been involved in (too many pots I've got my grubby little hands in). One of those projects is my book shop-PikiThins. I'll be scaling back on managing the shop and focusing more on the blog, as well as my artwork. The shop will remain open for those who wish to browse and purchase until July 31st. After that, I'll be placing the shop on vacation mode.

2.  Even though the shop will be closed, I won't stop bookmaking. I usually mix Sketchbook Friday posts with different art projects aside from drawing.

3.  Book Monday might be changing in the near future. This part of the blog is something I seem to be struggling with, so I may expand on what Book Monday should actually be about, or eliminate it all together. For now, I will keep posting book recommendations for the remainder of July.

4. What's with that empty Giveaway tab at the top of the blog? This upcoming weekend, I will be posting my first giveaway, so stayed tuned.

I hope everyone's July 4th was fun! Unfortunately, It rained over here. However, I did see fireworks on the beach yesterday!

Cheers,

Carolina

Fleet Week, Announcement & Updates

Good morning my lovely readers, anonymous prowlers, and fellow followers! I hope your Memorial Day weekend was enjoyable! Mine certainly was. I got to take pictures of battleships for the start of fleet week during lovely 85 degree weather! I was able to get a quick tour aboard the deck on one of the ships. I also toured a coast guard boat, which is pretty small for a 24 men crew to live in!

Some of you are probably wondering: "What happened to the Book Monday post? I need my PikiThins blog fix right away!" I apologize for the absent post. Below is a list of updates for this coming week!
  • May 26th - June 2nd : I will be on vacation, so there will not be any posts from me during this period of time.
  • The PikiThins book shop will be closed on the mentioned days as well. If your interested in a custom order or have questions, you may leave me an email: pikithins@gmail.com
  • I am 1 follower away from hitting 50 Google + followers! I had mentioned before that if I reach my first 50, I will host a giveaway! When I return from vacation, I'll see if I've reached this magical number.
  • I would love to extend an invitation to the avid readers and book lovers to be guest bloggers for Book Monday. You can leave a comment on this blog post if you're interested; either on doing a book recommendation, review, or anything book related! I will review this once I return from vacation.
With that said, I hope you all enjoy your week.

Announcment - April Vacation

Cameras I'm taking with me on my vacation. This isn't too many, is it? Hehe

I'm heading out on a short vacation starting today, so I won't be creating any posts for this whole week (Apr. 20th-25th).

My book shop will also be closed on these specified dates. If you have any inquiries about any custom orders or ready made books in the shop, simply leave me a message on my shop page or email me: pikithins@gmail.com

Thanks and have a great weekend everyone!

Announcement: Exciting New Blog Changes!

I've decided to make a few changes on my blog, since my posts have been a bit random. Starting tomorrow, I'll be implementing a new topic schedule!

Mondays: Book Recommendations/Reviews
(Because who doesn't like to read and look at good books? From Craft & Art Books to Fiction!)

Wednesdays: Photography
(Pretty much on topics about fun cameras I use & recommend, pictures I've taken, and adventures!)

Friday: Sketchbook
(Illustrations & sketches I've drawn and other artists I enjoy)

Sunday: Optional Post Day (Mostly about WIPs and any new announcements I have!)

On the blog page, there's an option to get email notifications so you know when I post! (In the upper right corner) Happy reading!
